How to Become a Participating Part Of The St. Andrew Community and Experience

Saint Andrew United Methodist Church, membership is a process that begin with making a decision to become a part of a Christian community of faith. The process is designed to help individuals integrate individual faith, practice, community, mission, service, and witness. It helps each of us to better understand the nature of God, the will of God, how belonging and participating in a faith community (St. Andrew) is life-giving and transforming.

To become a member of the United Methodist Church (UMC), you will need to “profession your faith.” This process typically involves and in person meeting with the Senior Pastor to discuss questions about Christianity, beliefs,  and practices of  St. Andrew United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Church, and making a public profession of your faith in Jesus Christ.  This is usually done on Commitment Sunday or other designated Sundays such as Pentecost, in a group or community setting.

1)  After you have made your profession of faith, spoken to the pastor(s),
2) Be assigned or declare a prayer and ministry partner(s) (a committed member or designated affiliate member and follower of Christ that will prayerfullly will help you  navigate your membership, affiliation, answer questions, and help you walk through your faith life through the ministries of St. Andrew and the United Methodist Church)

Our In Person and  Virtual Community Members

Physical church attendance is not always possible. There are many reasons that may prevent a person from being able to join a local church. Our desire is to provide church membership for people who are in those positions.
Not everyone is blessed with a family. St. Andrew United Methodist Church  is a COMMUNITY  where you will know that you will know a sense of belonging! COMMUNITY is A community is a group of people who follow a Christ centered or Christian social structure within the general culture or society.  Our social structure involves  faith, morals, customs, values, service, giving, and daily actions. The place of COMMUNITY can be virtual as well as physical (village, towns, countries, etc.).Even if you cannot physically be at weekly service, we want you to be apart of St. Andrew  through online or virtual community gathering and participation.
