Become a HSD Hero Volunteer

Volunteer IDs can be obtained Monday – Friday between 7:30am – 1:00pm at the HSD Administration Building, 15955 New Halls Ferry Rd, Florissant, MO 63031.

RENEWAL PROCESS: If you received a new orange (Level 1) or a new yellow (Level 2) volunteer ID during the 2015-2016 school year, postcards were mailed regarding the renewal process. 1) Call Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services at 866-422-6872 (8am-3pm Monday-Friday). 2) Request a current copy of your Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) confirmation to be emailed to you. 3) Print a copy of the confirmation and bring to the Hazelwood School District Administration Building to renew your volunteer ID. There is no cost for the HSD Heroes/Volunteers renewal Process.
NOTE: To our patrons that still possess the “old style white volunteer ID” and want to renew, simply follow steps 1 – 3 in the instructions above.

NEW VOLUNTEERS: Each school year, parents and community members join the Hazelwood School District (HSD) as new HSD Heroes/Volunteers. HSD Heroes/Volunteers are an integral part of the success of students and staff in HSD by serving in many ways such as helping with classroom parties and school events to working one-on-one as a mentor to chaperoning students on field trips.

It is important for new volunteers to understand the two levels of volunteers and to be aware of the process to obtain an HSD Volunteer ID.
