Our PURPOSE for existing as a congregation is...to be guided by the Holy Spirit to build a church
where people seek to follow Jesus Christ honestly and completely and encourage and lead others to do so.
The ministries of St. Andrew UMC are built around the following concepts:
Pastor guided and laity driven
Worship which draws people into the heart of God
Wesleyan in nature and emphasis
Intentionally multicultural
Share the good news of Christ
Outreach to meet parish and community need
Promote spiritual growth and faith development through education and training
Do whatever it takes to serve Christ and do it well
By following these concepts, we can create a church home where there is shelter from life's storms and
everyone is challenged to a deeper faith in Christ.
Welcome to St. Andrew UMC…
A Place for Your Heart to Call Home
Welcome to our Church...
From Pastor Monica:
*You Matter to God and to us**.
*Christianity is a way of life with emphasis on faith and practice. Choosing a faith community is one of the most important decisions you will make. My goal is to be your pastor and help you learn how to make good life transforming and affirming decisions. "
My role as your Pastor is to....
Commit to personal spiritual growth as a learning leader being perfected as a Christian in
body, mind, and actions.
Ensure faithful transmission of the Christian faith through growing congregations and
using all means available to communicate with people locally and globally.
Preach the Word, oversee the worship life of the people, teach the Bible (Scriptures), and
engage people to study and invite others to become followers of Jesus Christ and live the Christian life.
Give pastoral guidance, support, and leadership to people in the church equipping them to discover, develop, and live a life as faithful, effective, and fruitful followers of Jesus Christ equipped to change the world one person, situation, community, country and nation at a time.
Sincerely,
Pastor Monica A Servant of Christ
